Cortx

An iOS flashcard app that helps you remember things for good, in just a few minutes a day.

Cortx – Cortx: daily review, collections and session summary on iPhone

Cortx is a spaced-repetition flashcard app: each card comes back right before you're about to forget it. I designed and built the whole product on my own: daily reviews, AI-generated cards from your existing cards or a photo of your notes, statistics, streaks and in-app subscriptions.

What I did

  • iOS app built with Nuxt 3 and Vue 3, packaged with Capacitor
  • Leitner algorithm with 5 boxes (1, 3, 7, 14 and 30-day intervals)
  • Offline-first local SQLite database with two-way Supabase sync
  • AI card generation through Supabase Edge Functions (OpenAI), including from photos
  • Detailed stats with Chart.js, streaks, XP score and social sharing
  • Subscriptions with RevenueCat, daily notifications and an iOS widget in Swift
  • UI translated into 8 languages, dark mode and an animated onboarding
  • Monitoring and quality with Sentry, PostHog and Vitest tests
